ArcGIS License Manager

This section covers authorizing and configuring ArcGIS License Manager for use with named user ArcGIS Pro and Premium Apps via an ArcGIS Enterprise instance.

License manager allows portal machine to handle the provisioning and management of Pro License and

  1. First unpack license manager files

  1. Once it is completed setup window will appear on the screen

  1. Select next

Authorize ArcGIS License Manager

  1. Launch the License Manager installer

  2. During the setup, you will need to specify the service account that will be running the License Manager

  3. Specify the .json file used for the Portal Site. This will align the licenses provisioned within the existing provisioning file.

  4. Verify the licenses are appearing within the License Manager instance.

  5. Click Authorization in the table of contents, select a "version" from the Version drop-down list, and click the "Authorize Now" button to launch the Software Authorization Wizard.

  1. Follow the instructions on the dialog boxes to complete the authorization process. A provisioning file (*.prvs) generated in My Esri can be used to speed up the authorization process for concurrent use. This file fills in all the necessary user and product authorization information in the wizard. More information on provisioning files can be found in the section Provisioning Files.

  1. Click Finish to close the wizard and return to License Server Administrator.

  2. Re read licenses and then check availabilities of licenses.
